Notwithstanding his technical and commercial knowledge of delivering utility infrastructure, one of Vimal’s key strengths is his ability to successfully integrate into any project team and communicate effectively at all levels within the business by cutting through the noise and identifying the key points in land & development, technical, construction, commercial, sales & customer experience required in delivering a successful heat network. Vimal also assisted our Property Management team during the post occupation and legacy phases of our developments ensuring high levels of asset performance and customer satisfaction were always maintained.

It is my experience that Vimal can be depended upon to act as the responsible person in these complex infrastructure projects which is necessary to coordinate the needs of all stakeholders and achieve the project goals.

We recently completed on a bespoke multi-million extremely complex property deal involving the NHS and numerous other parties spanning a three year period. Without the excellent contribution from Vimal completion would not have been possible and we would still be in negotiation, or the whole deal may well have collapsed!

Vimal was the client lead for three different parties responsible for pulling together an extremely complex and bespoke energy deal for our new development. Vimal’s proactive and pragmatic approach during all contract discussions was fundamental in securing agreement. There was a plethora of detail and numerous complex aspects to this bespoke deal but Vimal was able to cut to the heart of any issue in order to find a resolution. Working with Vimal during what was an intense and at times frustrating process was a genuine pleasure and I would definitely ensure he was involved in any further deals of this nature.

I have worked in the utility and construction industry my entire career and been fortunate enough to have delivered major capital projects at ESKOM, Utilicom (now Cofely), Parsons Brinckerhoff (now WSP), Self Energy ESCo and Barratt Developments in the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Combining my direct knowledge of design & installation of energy infrastructure, requirements of the main developer and commercial experience of having reached financial close on over 20no. long term infrastructure contracts providing services to over 25,000 homes, 250,000 sqft of commercial and other mixed used tenures; I am able to provide a unique end-to-end advisory service for the delivery & contracting of energy infrastructure.

I founded Joule Infrastructure with a few key aims;

a. I want to simplify energy delivery & contracting, removing the jargon and acronyms. I encourage plain-speaking to understand and address the key issues openly.

b. I want to stop thinking of the different technologies we install in silos. The more integrated it is, the more efficient the solution becomes.

c. There are many reasons why infrastructure is developed, I want to ensure project goals always consider the end user and the impact of the development outside of the red line boundary.
